When end-users scan a ZetaQR dynamic QR code, we do not place tracking cookies on their devices and we do not track personal identities across the web. Scan analytics are aggregated, privacy-preserving, and fully compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and global privacy mandates.

1. Introduction

ZetaQR Inc. ("ZetaQR", "we", "us", or "our") provides dynamic QR campaign infrastructure, branded smart links, and landing page services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website, register for an account, or interact with QR codes powered by ZetaQR.

2. Information We Collect

A. Account & Customer Data

When you sign up for ZetaQR, we collect personal contact details such as your name, email address, password, company name, and billing information (processed via secure, PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment gateways).

B. QR Code Scan Telemetry

When a physical QR code or smart link generated via ZetaQR is scanned or clicked, our edge servers temporarily process:

  • Timestamp of the scan
  • Coarse geographic location (country, region, and city derived from truncated IP headers)
  • User agent headers (device operating system such as iOS or Android, and browser family)
  • Referring URLs and custom UTM campaign parameters

Raw IP addresses are truncated or anonymized in memory and are never stored as raw personal identifiers in our persistent analytics logs.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information strictly to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our dynamic redirect network and campaign dashboards
  • Generate aggregated analytics reports for campaign owners (e.g. scan volume by city and hour)
  • Detect, prevent, and mitigate security threats, fraud, phishing, and abusive links
  • Process billing transactions and send critical account notifications

4. Data Security & Storage

We employ industry-standard organizational and technical safeguards. All data transmitted between browsers, edge redirect nodes, and our database clusters is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Persistent data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 standards with regular automated security audits.
